Saints have secured this season’s top scorer, Ryan Whelan on a 3 year deal.
The striker, who returned to the Saints at the end of November, played a key role in the Club’s return to the Superleague scoring 16 goals, including the winner in the 1-0 win over Buchanhaven Hearts in the Morrison Cup Final.

We caught up with Ryan after he signed back in May.
Delighted to sign for 3 years, loved every minute since i’ve joined. I’m enjoying helping some of the younger lads and seeing them progress. I’m also looking forward to the coming years in the Superleague and hopefully adding more silverware.
The Saints’ boss was also delighted to keep the striker at the Club.
It’s a massive boost for us. We were playing well at the start of last of the season but we were missing an experienced striker. Getting Wheels in at the end of November probably changed our season. When you break down his 16 goals, there were some really important ones in there. He’s a real professional and popular in the dressing room too. The younger players, especially the strikers learn from him, not just on the pitch but his attitude towards training too.
This keeps Ryan at the Club until the summer of 2022
